About the First Recipe on This Blog
The first recipe published on this blog is no coincidence. Its roots go all the way back to my childhood.
My mother used to make these cookies (that’s what we call them) using these very simple ingredients. Some of you may find the main ingredient in the dough used to make these little crescent-shaped pastries rather unusual – pork lard. However, it is precisely this ingredient that gives the dough its distinctive flavor and delicate, crumbly texture. I still remember the aroma that filled the house while they were being made.
As I write these words, I feel an ever-growing wave of nostalgia washing over me... )))
I love making these little crescents filled with sour cherries or rose petal jam and chopped walnuts whenever I feel like enjoying homemade cookies full of flavor. And when it comes to this recipe, I wouldn’t want to change a thing.
I want to preserve it in its original form so I can share the authentic taste of delicious homemade pastries.
Enjoy, and I look forward to sharing more stories with you!
